Hispanic Heritage Foundation 2016 Youth Awards
Eligibility: Entering its 18th year, the Youth Awards honor Latino high school seniors who
excel in the classroom and community and for their focus in various categories including:

Wendy’s High School Heisman Award
Eligibility: Seniors graduating in May 2017 who have a 3.0 or better GPA and who
participate in one or more high school sponsored sports.
Requirements: Complete on-line application. Application must be reviewed by a school
official. Please follow directions on website.
Amount: Wendy’s gift certificates in various amounts (no scholarship, but hey, you gotta
eat when you are in college!), awards for your school and national recognition. The first
25,000 applicants automatically win $10 Wendy’s gift card!

AES Engineers Scholarship
Eligibility: This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a postsecondary educational facility.
Requirements: Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted.
Amount: $500

Flinn Scholarship
Eligibility: 
·                     Be a U.S. citizen by the time of entry to the university;
·                     Be an Arizona resident for two years by the time of entry to the university
·                     As a general rule, Flinn Scholarship applicants should score a minimum 29 on the ACT (composite score) or 1300 on the SAT I (counting critical reading and mathematics sections only, not including the writing section); Attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average (unweighted); Rank in the top 5 percent of their graduating class; Participate and demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities.
Requirements: Complete online application including two teacher recommendations.
Amount: Tuition, room and board, and fees for four years at UA/ASU/NAU
plus a study abroad program!

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship
Eligibility: Seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents intending on pursuing a
four-year degree (may start at a 2 yr college) with a family adjusted gross income of $55,000
or less. Students should have a record of school/community service activities. 2.0 GPA
minimum requirement.
Amount: Up to $25,000 (National – 106 awards), up to $10, 500 (State), up to $2,500
(Career & Technical – 510 awards), up to $60,000 (Targeted)

VFW Voice of Democracy
Eligibility: All students (Us citizens or permanent residents) grades 9-12
Requirements: Complete entry form and record an original 3-5 minute essay on the topic
“My Vision for America” on an audio CD or a flash drive and submit per instructions on
web site below.
Amount: Up to $30,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program
Eligibility:
·                     Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2017.
·                     Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2017.
·                     GPA – Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.
·                     Test Scores – Receive standardized test scores in the top 15%: SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above.
·                     Income – Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant.
Application: The College Scholarship Program application is available to students only during their senior year. The application opens in September and closes in November. The applications are reviewed December through February, and final notifications are made in mid-March.
Award: This highly competitive scholarship includes:
·                     Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school
·                     Ability to pursue any area of study
·                     Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid
·                     Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the college student experience

NAU Scholarships - Lumberjack Scholars Award, Merit Tuition Award, Deans Tuition Award, Presidents Tuition Award, and President's International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarship

Arizona Milk Producers’ Scholarship
Eligibility: Seniors who are Arizona residents and are planning on enrolling full time (12
credits) at ASU, NAU, or UA for fall 2017. Employees and family members of Arizona Milk
Producers are not eligible.
Requirements: Students must submit entries on Instagram or website including name,
complete address, and telephone number along with a milk mustache photo of yourself
(be creative), a paragraph (not to exceed 150 words) on why you drink milk, or why any
dairy product is an important part of your daily routine. Make sure a dairy product (milk,
cheese, yogurt) is visible in your photo.
Amount: Up to $12,000 towards college expenses, tickets to home football games, VIP
tickets to the Fiesta Bowl.

Arizona Earn to Learn Program
Eligibility: Students in the Class of 2017 interested in attending UA, NAU or ASU for the fall 2017 semester or going to Pima Community College and planning to transfer to UA, NAU or ASU. If under the age of 18, a parent or guardian and the participant must complete separate applications to be submitted together. Be an Arizona resident and have lived here for 3 months prior to applying. Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Have a social security or federal tax identification number.
Note: Go to website to take a quick eligibility quiz. Many students will qualify! Requirements: Enrollment in the program requires students and/or families to establish savings accounts and deposit up to $500 to receive a matching deposit of an additional $4,000 from the program. Arizona Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student
Eligibility: Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply. Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. College students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. Male and female students compete separately.
Requirements: Submit application found on-line to contact below. Applicants will be judged on financial need, leadership and scholarship.

Air Force ROTC Scholarship
Eligibility: Seniors who are US citizens (or will be by the start of your first semester at college), will graduate in May 2017, at least 17 years of age within the first semester of the year you will enter college, min. GPA of 3.0 (end of junior year), min. SAT score of 1180 (reading/math) or ACT composite score of at least 26.
Requirements: Complete on-line application including personal statement and interview.
Obligation:  Applying for an Air Force ROTC scholarship does not obligate you in any way. As a scholarship recipient though, you obligate yourself when you sign an agreement with the United States Air Force. If you are under legal age in the state where the school is located, your parent or legal guardian signs this agreement. You will agree to:
·                     Enroll in the academic major in which the scholarship is offered.
·                     Enlist in the Air Force Reserve and enroll in Air Force ROTC beginning with the 2016 fall term. 
·                     Satisfactorily complete a four-week summer Field Training course at an Air Force base (normally scheduled between your sophomore and junior years).
·                     Complete the Air Force ROTC Professional Officer Course
·                     Accept a commission as an Air Force officer.
·                     Serve at least four years on active duty.
Amount: Full tuition and book stipend

AXA Achievement Scholarship
Eligibility:
·                     Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico.
·                     Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2017-2018 academic year.
·                     Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities.
·                     Because reducing risk is woven into the fabric of our company, special consideration is given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health, safety and/or emergency preparedness.

Amount: The AXA Achievement Scholarship is awarded to 52 students nationwide – one selected from each state, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Each state winner receives a scholarship award of $10,000. From that pool of 52 winners, ten are selected as national winners and receive an additional $15,000, bringing the national AXA Achievers’ total scholarship awards to $25,000 each.

Healthcare Scholarship Program 2016
Eligibility:
·                     Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of disbursement.
·                     Applicants must be US citizens.
·                     Applicants must be in full time education at the time that the scholarship is awarded.
Requirements:
·                     Applicants must write and submit an essay in English of between 750 and 1000 words on the topic “Why I Want Pursue a Career in the Healthcare Field”.
·                     Applicants must submit an essay that is original and entirely their own work. Any essay that contains plagiarized content or false information will be automatically disqualified.
Amount: $500

Davidson Fellows
Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration as a Davidson Fellow, applicants must
·                     Be 18 or younger as of Oct. 1, 2017.
·                     Be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States, or a Permanent Resident of the United States residing in the United States, or be stationed overseas due to active U. S. military duty.
·                     There is no minimum age for eligibility.
·                     The Davidson Institute is looking for students whose projects are at, or close to, the college graduate level with a depth of knowledge in their particular area of study. This scholarship is not geared toward students at the novice level.
·                     Davidson Fellows must be available to attend, with at least one parent or guardian, the awards reception and other recognition events to be held in September in Washington, D.C. (Travel expenses and lodging will be provided by the Institute.)
Project Criteria: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of significant work in the following categories—STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics; Humanities—Literature, Music, Philosophy, Outside the Box.   Significant work is an accomplishment that experts in the field recognize as meaningful and has the potential to make a positive contribution to society. Such work may be:
·                     an exceptionally creative application of existing knowledge
·                     a new idea with high impact
·                     an innovative solution with broad-range implications
·                     an important advancement that can be replicated and built upon
·                     an interdisciplinary discovery
·                     a prodigious performance
·                     another demonstration of extraordinary accomplishment

President Barack Obama Scholars Award
Eligibility: Students applying to ASU with a 3.0 or higher GPA in core classes whose total
annual family income is $42,400 or less.
Requirements: Submit ASU application plus additional requirements. See website for
details.
Amount: All costs directly associated with ASU, which includes tuition and fees, room and
board, and books and supplies.

New American University Scholarships
Eligibility: Seniors who are Arizona residents admitted to ASU. This is a merit based
(GPA, test scores) scholarship with no financial need requirements.
Requirements: Students are automatically considered for this award when they are
admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application
materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) must
be on file with the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office to be considered for this award.
Amount: Varies

Army ROTC Scholarship
Eligibility: Seniors who are US citizens, will graduate in May 2017, at least 17 years of age within the first semester of the year you will enter college, min. GPA of 2.5, min. SAT score of 920 (reading/math) or ACT composite score of at least 19. You may be asked to have your physical ability to be assessed.
Requirements: Complete application on-line (or download paper application), including personal statement and transcripts.
Obligation: Upon graduation and meeting all other requirements you will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and be required to serve on active duty for a minimum of 4 years and 4 years reserve.
Amount: Full tuition and fees OR room and board ($10k limit)

Navy ROTC Scholarship
(Note: Different requirements for Marine and Navy Nurse ROTC Scholarships – See website)
Eligibility: Seniors who are US citizens, will graduate in May 2017, at least 17 years of age within the first semester of the year you will enter college. You may be asked to have your physical ability to be assessed.
Obligation: For those midshipmen attending college and NROTC on an NROTC Scholarship, the following military service obligations apply:
Navy Option midshipmen (does not include Nurses or Marines) starting their freshman year of college in the Fall of 2010 or later will be required to serve a minimum of five years of active military service. Additional requirements may be required for specific job assignments. 
Marine Corps Option midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.
Navy Nurse Corps Option midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.
Amount: Full tuition and book stipend.

Alisa's Angels Scholarship
Eligibility: Graduating seniors who have a record of service to others and a financial need.

Dorrance Scholarship Programs
Eligibility: 
·                     Seniors in good standing who will graduate from an accredited Arizona high school and enterthe university as a college freshmen
·                     First generation to attend college (neither parent/step-parent, living or deceased, or legal guardian holds a four year degree from any country)
·                     Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)
·                     Minimum combined SAT score of 1040 or composite ACT score of 22 (excluding writing score in both instances)
·                     Admitted to one of Arizona’s three residential public universities (Arizona State University - Tempe, Northern Arizona University-Flagstaff, University of Arizona-Tucson)
·                     Demonstrated financial need (www.fafsa.ed.gov)
·                     Demonstrated leadership and volunteer service
·                     Agree to participate in all aspects of the scholarship program (See Program At A Glance)… MUST be able to travel internationally

University of Arizona Scholarships
Note: UA Applications (seniors should apply NOW!) and FAFSA forms (available 10/1/16) must be completed and submitted no later than March 1, 2016 to receive priority financial aid and scholarship consideration. Amount: All unmet financial need after grants and work study, and some loans are

Hispanic Scholarship Fund – General Scholarship
Eligibility:
·                     Must be of Hispanic Heritage
·                     Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for High School Students
·                     Plan to enroll Full-Time in an accredited not-for -profit 4 year university the FALL of scholarship cycle year

SCW DREAMers Scholarship
Eligibilty: Immigrant under the age of 25, entered the United States before age 16, have lived continuously in the country for at least five years, have not been convicted of a felony, a “significant” misdemeanor, or three other misdemeanors. Applicant must plan to attend college by fall semester 2016. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. No citizenship requirement.
Requirements: Complete online application. A transcript must be attached to application for consideration. Applicant must submit an un-opened copy of official transcripts if selected as a finalist. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application. Applicant will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship.
